Last updated: 19 August 2026

Sweepp (“we”, “us” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we may share it with, and your rights in relation to your personal data.

Sweepp is operated by Sweepp Ltd, registered in Scotland, with its registered office at 33 Bernard Street, Leith, Edinburgh, EH66SH.

By making a booking with us, you agree to these Terms.

1. Our services

Sweepp provides cleaning and related home-help services as described on our website or agreed with you at the time of booking.

The exact services included in your booking will depend on the service you select and any additional requirements agreed with us in advance.

We will make reasonable efforts to provide the service to the standard described when you book.

2. Making a booking

Bookings can be made through our website, by WhatsApp or through any other booking method we make available.

A booking is confirmed once we have accepted your booking and, where applicable, you have received confirmation from us.

We may contact you before your appointment to confirm details such as the address, access arrangements, cleaning requirements and any special instructions.

You are responsible for ensuring that the information you provide to us is accurate.

3. Access to your property

You are responsible for providing safe and suitable access to your property at the agreed time.

This may include:

Being present when our team arrives

Providing a key

Providing an access code

Providing instructions for a key safe

Providing any other agreed method of access

If our team cannot access the property because the required access arrangements have not been provided, we may treat this as a cancellation or missed appointment and charge the applicable cancellation fee.

Please do not provide access information unless you are happy for us to use it for the purpose of carrying out your booking.

4. Cleaning requirements

We ask that you let us know about any specific requirements, priorities or areas you would like us to focus on before the appointment begins.

Our standard cleaning services are intended to cover normal household cleaning.

Some tasks may require additional time, equipment or specialist treatment and may not be included in the standard service. This can include exceptionally heavy cleaning, mould removal, hazardous waste, pest infestations, exterior windows, high-level work or specialist stain removal.

If we believe that a requested task is outside the scope of the service booked, we will let you know where reasonably possible.

5. Your responsibilities

You agree to:

Provide accurate booking and contact information

Provide safe access to the property

Tell us about anything that could affect the safety of our team

Secure valuables and personal belongings where appropriate

Ensure pets are appropriately secured where necessary

Tell us about any fragile, valuable or particularly delicate items

Provide any specific instructions needed to complete the service safely

We reserve the right to stop or refuse a service where we reasonably believe that the working environment is unsafe.

6. Health and safety

For the safety of our team, we cannot undertake work that exposes them to unreasonable risk.

This may include situations involving:

Dangerous or hazardous substances

Needles or other sharps

Significant pest infestations

Unsafe structural conditions

Aggressive or uncontrolled animals

Excessive quantities of waste

Other conditions that could reasonably put our team at risk

If a property is considered unsafe, we may leave the property and charge for the booking where appropriate.

7. Cleaning products and equipment

Unless otherwise agreed, Sweepp will provide the cleaning products and equipment required for the service.

If you have specific products or equipment you would like us to use, please let us know when booking.

We will take reasonable care when using products and equipment. However, you are responsible for informing us of any surfaces or materials that require particular care.

8. Payment

Prices will be communicated to you before or at the time of booking.

Payment will be taken after the service, or according to any other payment arrangement agreed with you.

We may use third-party payment providers to process payments.

If a payment is unsuccessful or remains unpaid, we may suspend future bookings until the outstanding amount has been paid.

9. Cancellations and changes

We understand that plans change. You can request to cancel or change a booking by contacting us through the booking method provided.

Our cancellation policy is:

Cancellations made less than 2 hours before the appointment will be charged at 100% of the booking price.

Where possible, we will try to accommodate changes to your booking.

If you need to change the date or time of a booking, this will be subject to availability.

10. If we need to cancel

We may occasionally need to cancel or reschedule a booking due to circumstances outside our reasonable control, including staff illness, extreme weather, emergencies or other unforeseen circumstances.

Where this happens, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you as soon as possible and offer an alternative appointment where available.

If we cancel a booking and you have already paid for the service, you will be entitled to a refund for the service that was not provided.

11. Damage or loss

Our team will take reasonable care when providing services at your property.

If you believe that something has been damaged during a cleaning visit, please notify us as soon as reasonably possible, ideally within 48 hours of the service.

We may ask for photographs, details of the item and any other information reasonably required to investigate the issue.

We will not generally be responsible for:

Pre-existing damage or wear and tear

Damage resulting from faulty, unstable or poorly maintained items or surfaces

Damage caused by incorrect information or instructions provided by you

Damage to items that were unsuitable for cleaning or required specialist treatment where this was not disclosed to us

Loss or damage to valuables where reasonable care was not taken to secure them

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded.

12. Valuables and personal belongings

You are responsible for securing cash, jewellery, important documents and other valuable or highly personal items before our team arrives.

Our team will not normally move valuable or particularly fragile possessions unless necessary to carry out the agreed service.

13. Satisfaction and complaints

We want you to be happy with the service you receive.

If you are unhappy with any aspect of your cleaning, please contact us as soon as possible and explain what has happened.

Where appropriate, we may offer to return and address an issue that falls within the scope of the original booking.

We will consider complaints fairly and make reasonable efforts to resolve them.

14. Our liability

We will provide our services with reasonable care and skill.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Subject to this, our liability will be limited to the extent permitted by law.

15. Photos and marketing

We will not use photographs of your home, belongings or property for marketing purposes without your permission.

If we ask to take photographs for marketing or other purposes, you are free to decline.

16. Our team

We may use employees, contractors or other suitably engaged service providers to provide our services.

We may occasionally need to substitute the person or team assigned to your booking.

We will aim to provide reasonable notice of any significant changes where possible.

17. Recurring bookings

If you arrange a recurring cleaning service, each appointment will be subject to these Terms.

Recurring bookings may continue until you or Sweepp cancels them.

You can cancel or change future recurring appointments in accordance with our cancellation policy.

18. Events outside our control

We will not be responsible for delays or failure to provide services where this is caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

This may include severe weather, transport disruption, power or water outages, government action, emergencies, industrial disputes, illness or other circumstances that could not reasonably have been prevented.

19. Privacy

We collect and use your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

By using our services, you acknowledge that you have read our Privacy Policy.

20. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

The version applicable to your booking will normally be the version in force when you make your booking, unless a change is required by law or is otherwise communicated to you.

The latest version will be available on our website.

21. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Scotland.

Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Scottish courts, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
